How we intend to operate to accomplish our goals
Stage one …… Collect Information
The funds received will be used for travel and expense to:
A. Attend conferences regarding wildland firefighting.
B. Attend aviation wildland firefighting seminars.
C. Visit different agencies and facilities to observe personnel & equipment.
D. Visit air tanker bases to interview firefighting pilots.
E. Visit Air National Guard bases to see Modular Airborne Firefighting Systems. (MAFFS) Interview
personnel as to deployment procedures.
F. Visit fire ecologists to determine how wildland fires improve our environment and
how climate change will require improved firefighting tactics with newer and more powerful airtankers.
Some funds will be used for overhead expenses such as office supplies, and utilities. We have no current plans for a commercial office.
Stage two….. Solicit Support
Collect letters from firefighting professionals, and firefighting organizations to support the nationalization of wildland firefighting.
Stage three……. Implementation
Educate and inform politicians on the need to introduce legislation to create a nationalized wildland fire agency.
Educate on wildland fires and the need to change our command structure regarding decisions to withhold airtanker resources to save money.
How you can help!!
Politicians
Allow meetings with our staff to discuss current and future trends in wildland firefighting. Let us share the input of firefighting professionals, private contractors, airtanker pilots, and fire ecologists with insight on how to protect lives, property and environment for future decades.
Firefighting professionals & department Heads
Encourage meetings and presentations by our staff. Often these presentations give new insight to problems faced by firefighters during suppression and routine operations. Learn about new tools which may become available for aviation suppression operations.
Submit a letter of endorsement for the nationalization of wildland firefighting, describing how this change might impact your department.
Private contractors for air and ground support
Share your problems with us for funding operations, dealing with government agencies, replacement of obsolete equipment, and staffing.
Submit a letter of endorsement for the nationalization of wildland firefighting, and how this might impact your business.
